This edition of MHC features abstracts selected as 2012 Research Trainee and Therapeutic Case Report award finalist abstracts. Research Trainee and Therapeutic Case Report award finalists will present their abstracts during the platform presentations on Monday, April 30, during the 2012 Annual Meeting. Winners for all categories will be announced on Tuesday, May 1. Registered attendees can browse all abstracts accepted for the meeting.

2012 ANNUAL MEETING “MAKING WAVES” WITH RECORD PRE-REGISTRATIONS

Over 470 individuals have pre-registered to attend the 2012 Annual Meeting to be held April 29-May 2 in Tampa. This represents a 4% increase over record 2011 numbers. At this pace, registrations are on goal to surpass 2011's high of 497.

Although pre-registration rates have closed, individuals can still register before the meeting or even on-site in Tampa. As speaker materials arrive, content is proving to be just as committee members planned for—substantive and cutting-edge. If you are still evaluating the possibility of attending, here are just a few of the highlights for you to consider:

  • Pre-Meeting Workshop: A 7-hour MTM Boot Camp workshop will be offered on Sunday, April 29. Led by Linda Strand, PharmD, PhD, this workshop will emphasize the role of the pharmacist in the new organizational structures of the medical home and accountable care organizations. This workshop will demonstrate the keys to defining your service, recruiting patients, demonstrating your value, and charging for and expanding your services—information of value to all pharmacists.

  • Daily Keynote Addresses From:

    1. Nassir Ghaemi, MD, MPH: Making Sense of Antidepressants: An Evidence-Based Approach to the Controversies

    2. Barbara Wells, PharmD, FCCP, BCPP: Leadership Lessons Learned
