MHC Awards and Recognition

Mental Health Clinician (MHC) is a valuable resource for psychiatric practitioners and researchers. The editorial board greatly appreciates everyone who submits manuscripts and peer reviews and would like to acknowledge those whose contributions have been exceptional.

MHC Citation Milestone Award

The MHC Citation Milestone Award identifies MHC manuscripts that have achieved the impressive milestone of 100 or more citations by other scholarly works based on data provided by lens.org. Many articles have impacted patient care, but these articles are distinguished by their level of impact on the general body of knowledge. These are listed in alphabetical order, not in the order they achieved this impressive milestone.

  • Mullen S. Major depressive disorder in children and adolescents. Ment Health Clin [Internet]. 2018;8(6):275-83. DOI: 10.9740/mhc.2018.11.275.

The MHC Editors’ Choice Award for Outstanding Articles identifies manuscripts that garnered the most interest from readership. Outstanding and Trusted Peer Reviewers

In addition to the hard work of our authors, the high quality of MHC articles is maintained by the scrupulous eyes of hundreds of peer reviewers with at least 3 reviewers for each article. Peer reviewing is an often-under-recognized service that requires significant uncompensated time and effort. For someone to be invited repeatedly as a peer reviewer, their feedback must consistently be timely and of high quality. We wish to recognize our most reliable peer reviewers with the designations of Outstanding Peer Reviewer and Trusted Peer Reviewer, for those who reviewed at least 15 and 10 manuscripts in the prior 5 years respectively and at least one within the prior 2 years.

The lists below only show reviewers based on criteria updated in 2024. The complete lists of those recognized in prior years can still be found online: 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020.

A sincere thank you to all peer reviewers for MHC and congratulations to our Outstanding and Trusted Peer Reviewers!
